Charles do Bronx added another great performance to his collection. The Brazilian moved forward, took Mateusz Gamrot down, and... finished in the main fight of UFC Rio, held last Saturday (11), in a presentation that made his coach, Diego Lima, remember the best moments of the former champion's career.

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, Diego Lima admitted difficulty in pinpointing Charles Oliveira's greatest career performance, but left no doubt that his victory over Mateusz Gamrot is among his best.

"It's hard to rank his victories because they're all exciting, they're all wonderful. If we look at Gaethje's, Poirier's, Ferguson's... I have nothing to say, he's a blurry lion," said Diego Lima.

The coach stated that he noticed in Charles do Bronx, in the moments leading up to UFC Rio, the same energy and determination as in his great victories, highlighting the fighter's intensity and motivation before entering the octagon.

"I'll tell you a real story: in the face-off, when he went after the guy with that much desire, I went down and said, 'This is going to be crazy.' I felt the same Charles who fought Gaethje, with that same desire he had when they took the belt off him on the scale. I saw that energy in him. Today, in the locker room, he was hitting hard, wanting to rip it off, pierce the pad in half, and I said, 'This is going to be a blurry one today,'" concluded the coach.

With his victory over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Rio, Charles Oliveira reached 36 career wins and extended his record as the UFC's all-time leading finisher with 17 submission victories. Furthermore, the Brazilian also holds the record for most submissions in the event's history, now totaling 21 wins by stoppage.
