Reinier De Ridder is in great form in his career and has a decisive fight in the octagon. This Saturday (18), in Canada, the Dutchman will face Brendan Allen in the main fight of UFC Vancouver . For the duel, the athlete, undefeated in the company and dreaming of the chance to challenge Khamzat Chimaev , middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), has been pointed out by the bookmakers as the favorite.

In addition to the main fight, which is extremely important for the future of the division, UFC Vancouver will also feature the 'Brazilian Squad'. In total, five professionals will represent the country at the event.

Reinier De Ridder is on fire. After making his mark in One Championship, the Dutchman adapted to the octagon quickly and impressed with his performances. In the UFC, 'The Dutch Knight' submitted Gerald Meerschaert in November 2024, Kevin Holland in January 2025, knocked out Bo Nickal in May, and defeated Robert Whittaker by split decision in July.

With such a track record, the fighter has moved up a notch in his career. Now, the Dutchman is ranked fourth in the middleweight rankings, making him a serious contender for the title if he wins again. It's no surprise that De Ridder is the favorite in the fight against Allen, with odds of 1,50.

Brendan Allen ended his two-fight losing streak in his last fight. In July, the American defeated Marvin Vettori via unanimous decision. He is now ranked ninth in the division. It's worth noting that 'All In' was not De Ridder's original opponent at UFC Vancouver ; that was Anthony Hernandez . Given this scenario, Allen enters the fight as the underdog with odds of 2,60.

Former bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) title challenger Marlon Vera aims to bounce back in the UFC. However, his task is thankless. The Ecuadorian will travel to Canada to face Aiemann Zahabi , a home fighter. Despite his experience in the organization, Chito is going through a bad patch, with two consecutive losses and three in his last four fights. With such a record, the veteran is the underdog with odds of 2,08.

Zahabi, who has nothing to do with this, is fighting at home and looking to continue his good run of form. After surprising everyone by defeating José Aldo , the Canadian is more confident than ever. Currently, the veteran is riding a six-fight winning streak and is therefore seen as the favorite with odds of 1,74.

Brazilians are very underdogs

In the preliminary card, Djorden Santos faces Danny Barlow in the middleweight division and is one of the biggest underdogs at UFC Vancouver . Defeated in his octagon debut in March, the Brazilian failed to impress bettors and has odds of 3,45, offering a return of more than three times the wagered amount. On the other hand, the American was defeated in his last appearance in the cage, also in March. In the organization, the athlete has two wins and one loss.
