Khamzat Shimaev did not forgive Reinier DeRidder. Last Saturday (18), in Canada, the Dutchman was surprised by Brendan allen in the main fight of UFC Vancouver and suffered a tough defeat by technical knockout (forfeit) in the fourth round. As the grappling specialist was expected to challenge for the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg) and, consequently, be his opponent, the champion reacted.
On his official 'X' account, Chimaev mocked the athlete for the setback he suffered when he was the favorite and even more so for the manner in which it occurred. In the octagon, De Ridder had a strong first round, dominating the American. However, from the second round onwards, Allen recovered, showed vigor, and punished the extremely tired Dutchman with his ground attacks.

So much so that the athlete, between the fourth and fifth rounds, informed his team that he was unwell. His corner then decided to forfeit the fight. Thus, Chimaev condemned the actions of De Ridder, who was fighting in his fifth UFC fight in a year, and his team.
"De Ridder, what a load of nonsense. This piece of shit guy quit," wrote the UFC champion.
Chimaev's next fight
With Reinier DeRidder out of the running for the middleweight belt, Khamzat Shimaev see Nassourdine Imavov increasingly close to title challenger status. In addition to the athlete, the Russian, the category champion, may also face anthony hernandez and even Brendan allen.
