To the surprise of many, Aspinall emphasizes that his confidence in a victory over the Frenchman isn't solely due to his progress in training and the favoritism attributed to him by bookmakers. Paying close attention to Gane's movements, the Englishman stated that Gane dug his own grave by declaring that he would test him in a real fight, that is, going beyond the first round. Having a habit of quickly knocking out athletes who defend this idea, the division champion asserted that the title challenger will become a statistic on his record.

“Did he actually use the term ‘deep water’? Everyone who said ‘deep water’ got knocked out in the first minute. So, I’m very happy about that. That’s good,” said the champion at UFC 321’s media day, held last Wednesday (22).
Impressive numbers
No UFC desde 2020, Tom Aspinall dá show no octógono.
