Paulo Bananada is the new South American Shooto champion

Paulo Bananada and Willamy Chiquerim were the highlights of Shooto Brasil 15, an event held last night at Faculdade Bennet, in Rio de Janeiro.

Competing for the organization's South American belt, lightweights Paulo Bananada and Giovani Diniz had the expected rematch, as the result of the first duel caused quite a controversy. Coming in bitten after the controversial defeat in the first fight, Bananada didn't give Giovani a chance. Best in striking and ground and pound, Tatá Duarte's pupil took the title in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Willamy Chiquerim, on the other hand, performed in Brazil for the first time after winning the Shooto World title and gave no chance to the Finnish Mikael Lahdesmaki. Better during the three rounds, the Brazilian won the judges' decision. Check out the full result of the event.
