Jon Jones returned to the spotlight by provoking Tom aspinall on social media after the 'no contest' between English and Cyryl Gane, this Saturday (25), at UFC 321, in Abu Dhabi. The former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), who has been away since 2024, mocked his rival in a mocking tone.

Jones changed his profile picture on X (formerly Twitter) to an image of a duck wearing a belt and an eye patch, a direct allusion to the incident and previous provocations by the British man, who had used a toy duck to mock the American.

Not fighting since November 2024, when he defended the title against Stipe Miocic, Jones had announced his retirement, but the new episode indicates a possible turnaround.

'Bones' has once again become involved in discussions about the future of the heavyweights and, according to UFC sources, is already evaluating proposals for a duel in 2026. He has even agreed to face Alex Poatán at the UFC in the White House.
