With these three titles, Brazil became the country with the most active champions (Alexandre Pantoja, Alex Poatan, and Mackenzie Dern) in the UFC and led the head-to-head against the rest of the world, with 10 wins to 7. October proved that Brazilian MMA is stronger than ever. SUPER FIGHTS recalls the main moments.
Alex Poatan regains belt

The first to shine was Alex Poatan, at UFC 320 in Las Vegas on October 4th. He regained the light heavyweight title (up to 92,9 kg) by knocking out Magomed Ankalaev in just 80 seconds.
The rematch was highly anticipated, as Ankalaev had previously defeated Poatan, and the rivalry between them was heated. The São Paulo native, however, entered the octagon with an aggressive strategy, giving his opponent no chance, and ending the fight before the second round.

A week later, it was Charles do Bronx's turn to shine at home, at UFC Rio. After five years away from Brazil, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) returned with a vengeance and submitted Mateusz Gamrot in the second round, in a display of technical skill on the ground.
The victory sent the crowd into raptures and extended Do Bronx's UFC submission record to 17, as well as propelling him to third place in the division's rankings. He is also set to compete for a new title: the BMF belt. After the victory, Charles challenged Max Holloway to a rematch. The Hawaiian has already accepted the fight.

The last Brazilian belt of the month went to Mackenzie Dern, in the co-main event of UFC 321 last Saturday (25) in Abu Dhabi. The Brazilian faced another compatriot, Virna Jandiroba, in a balanced and exciting fight.
While 'Carcará' performed better in the takedown game, Mackenzie stood out for her improved boxing and active ground game. The 'new queen' of the UFC won by unanimous decision and brought the women's belt back to Brazil, which hadn't won another title since Amanda Nunes' retirement.
