Gable Stevenson impressed again in combat sports. Last Thursday (30), in Tennessee (USA), the Olympic wrestling champion shone in his debut in 'Dirty Boxing', an organization run by fighters Jon Jones and Mike Perry. In an incredible 15 seconds, the athlete knocked out Billy Swanson, delighting fans and sending the MMA legend into raptures.
It's worth highlighting that Jones is a friend of Steveson, a training partner, and also a kind of mentor to him in fights. Increasingly comfortable in the ring, the Olympic champion is showing that he possesses more than just high-level wrestling. In striking, the American is also showing improvement and drawing attention due to his power and speed in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg).

So much so that Swanson succumbed quickly. The wrestler paved his way to victory with a blitz and knocked his opponent down with an uppercut. With the veteran on the ground, Gable, standing, unleashed a flurry of punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Excited, the athlete left the ring and celebrated the victory with Jones, who was standing and applauding him.
UFC in the future?
Considered one of the top fighters outside the UFC, 25-year-old Gable Stevenson has been competing in smaller events to gain fighting experience and, more importantly, to improve other areas of his game.
In addition to making a striking debut in 'Dirty Boxing', the Olympic wrestler also shone in his first MMA fight, held in September, knocking out his opponent in just over a minute. Therefore, fans and experts suggest it's only a matter of time before the American joins Dana White's company and makes history there.
