Tom Aspinall's friend complains of 'robbery' after being brutally knocked out at UFC Vegas 110.

Croatian Ante Delija went from heaven to hell in the co-main event of UFC Las Vegas 110, held last Saturday (01). The training partner of champion Tom Apinall was declared the winner after knocking out Waldo Cortes-Acosta , but the fight resumed after the Dominican complained of an eye poke. In the restart of the fight, Delija was knocked out by a beautiful counter-punch.

This Sunday (02), unhappy with the result, Ante Delija used his Instagram account to question the referee's decision to 'take away' his victory.

• I'm not sure if I hit him in the eye, I think it was near his eye, and of course, I want a video where you can see the poke!
• The referee did not indicate a "time limit," but stopped the fight and therefore declared me the winner. This decision could not be changed later!
• The opponent sat there relaxed while watching the footage!
• Repetition used after an interruption – which the rules don't allow!!
• Ultimately, the fight continued in an irregular manner!

Ante Delija didn't stop protesting and, still using social media, declared that he was 'robbed' by the decision.

"I ask for nothing more than honesty."
I don't run from defeat, I respect all opponents and all results. But not when the rules are broken and I'm robbed.
Not in that way. The sport hasn't seen that yet," he concluded.

With this result, Delija, a former PFL champion, suffered his first UFC defeat in two appearances. Previously, he had defeated Marcin Tybura . Acosta, on the other hand, recovers from his loss against Sergei Pavlovich and defends his sixth position in the heavyweight rankings (up to 120 kg).

Although there is no direct connection, Delija's complaint goes against the controversy that his friend and training partner, Tom Aspinall, faced last week during the main event of UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi.

At the time, Aspinall was unable to continue the fight against Ciryl Gane after receiving an eye poke from the Frenchman. Post-fight examinations revealed that the champion had not suffered any injury from the foul.
