Jean Silva , UFC featherweight (up to 65,7kg), is eyeing his next opportunity to step into the octagon. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, he stated that there is no fight scheduled yet, but made it clear that the confrontation is closer than many imagine.

“I have a fight scheduled. I can’t tell you the date. I’m waiting for so-and-so to sign. The fight is closer than you imagine. The date and event are better than I imagined,” said Jean.

Jean Silva is coming off a loss to Diego Lopes at UFC Noche in San Antonio, Texas (USA). The Brazilian was knocked out in the second round at 4:48 after suffering a spinning elbow followed by punches, in a fight where he admitted to abandoning his strategy due to the emotion of the fight.

With 16 wins and three losses in his professional career, Jean Silva is known for his aggressive style and high number of knockouts, with 12 wins coming by knockout, three by submission, and only one by decision. He is one of the representatives of Fighting Nerds, which also includes Carlos Prates , Caio Borralho , and Maurício Ruffy.
