Glover Teixeira expressed optimism when commenting on the possibility of seeing Alex Poatan facing Jon Jones in the UFC octagon. After the Brazilian reconquer the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) belt at UFC 320 and to challenge 'Bones' is preparing for a super fight in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg), the former champion highlighted that he is... open to the idea and believes that now everything depends on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for the fight to happen.
In an interview with 'Cageside Press', Glover stated that both athletes have already expressed interest in the super fight and emphasized that the UFC has the chance to promote Poatan vs. Jon Jones as a historic spectacle, in which everyone would come out a winner.

“I think both fighters want this to happen. The UFC will promote the fight because it’s an important fight. In this fight, everyone will win, the fans, the UFC, because it’s an incredible fight. So, I think it’s very possible that it will happen,” said the fighter from Minas Gerais.
In addition to highlighting their mutual interest, Glover praised the technical level of both athletes and the historical potential of the matchup. He described the possible duel as one of the greatest of all time and showed complete confidence in his protégé.
"It's incredible, the biggest fight in history... Alex is a beast, they are warriors. I have a lot of faith in Alex and I think it's going to be a great night."
