Chael Sonnen harshly criticized Francis Ngannou 's stance . Recently, the heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) refused an invitation to replace Gervonta Davis and face Jake Paul in a boxing match. According to the Cameroonian, the reason was that he considered the fight easy, even with the good pay, a justification that irritated the controversial commentator.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Sonnen called Ngannou's attitude unprofessional and stressed that the former UFC champion shouldn't feel offended by a lucrative offer.

“Rejecting a fight you think is easy doesn’t make you a noble man, it makes you unemployed. You fight for money, they offer you a lot of money and you get insulted? Whoever refuses the challenge, loses,” said Chael Sonnen.
Despite Ngannou's refusal, other fighters did not hesitate to volunteer to face Jake Paul . Nate Diaz and Junior Cigano used social media to offer themselves and promote a possible confrontation against the YouTuber.
With the cancellation of the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight, the trilogy between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman will also not happen. Following the decision, MVP announced that the plan is to put Jake in the main event of a streaming giant's event sometime in 2025. The date and location for the show have not yet been determined.
