Marco Tulio 's strength and power were no match for Christian Leroy Duncan 's speed and creativity at UFC Vegas 111. The Brazilian had some good moments, but was ultimately knocked out by the Briton in the final stretch of the second round, breaking his undefeated streak in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
With the negative result, Marco Tulio suffered his first defeat in the UFC, interrupting a streak of four wins, two in the organization and two in the Contender Series. Christian Leroy Duncan , on the other hand, achieved his third consecutive victory in the octagon.

Matuto started the fight by ceding the center of the octagon to his rival. Skillfully, Duncan attempted a spinning elbow that opened a cut on the Brazilian's forehead. Marco, however, took advantage of the movement, clinched his opponent, and secured a takedown.

After exchanging blows on the ground, the duel returned to standing, with Christian hopping on his toes while Marco tried to connect with counter punches. In the final stretch of the first round, the Briton attempted another spinning strike, but once again the Chute Boxe representative timed it well and took the fight to the ground. Even so, his opponent managed to reverse the position.
In the second round, Marco Tulio came back more aggressively, closing down the Briton's space. Midway through the round, he landed a powerful right hand that made Duncan retreat. In the final stretch, the Brazilian began to invest in counter punches and calf kicks. However, in one of these attacks, Duncan took advantage of the movement and landed a precise spinning backfist, staggering the Brazilian before finishing the fight with a flurry of strikes.

In a featherweight bout (up to 65,7kg), Jamall Emmers used wrestling as his main weapon to overcome Hyder Amill. The American secured takedowns in all three rounds and won by unanimous decision.
With the result, Emmers reached 22 career wins, while Hyder Amill suffered his second defeat in professional MMA.
