Khamzat Chimaev accepts Alex Poatan's challenge and taunts him: 'Easy money'

As one might expect, it didn't take long for Khamzat Shimaev respond to the challenge made by Alex PoatánLast Wednesday (12), the Brazilian, surprisingly, proposed to 'Borz' that a fight take place at UFC BJJ, a grappling competition promoted by the company, and pledged to donate the entire amount of his purse to charity. And, apparently, the Russian approved the idea.

In Poatan's own post on his official Instagram account, Chimaev accepted the challenge and promised to easily defeat his rival and also... Glover Teixeira, his friend and coach. In fact, the Brazilian's stance was largely due to the provocation Borz made recently.

In a live stream, the Russian stated that he would finish off the renowned striker and the former MMA fighter together. Therefore, Khmzat seems determined to prove his worth.

“Come on, I can finish them both in the same night,” wrote the UFC star. Not satisfied, Chimaev, in another post, also described a possible grappling fight against Poatan as “easy money.” It’s worth noting that, in combat sports, the Russian is known precisely for his skill in wrestling and jiu-jitsu.

Khamzat ShimaevBorz, 31, is one of the most fearsome and popular MMA fighters today. Besides being the UFC middleweight champion, the Russian is ranked fourth in the pound-for-pound rankings, which brings together the best athletes across all weight classes.
