At the event held this Saturday (15), in New York (USA), the Russian dominated Jack Della Maddalena, winning by unanimous decision. Now, the friend of Khabib Nurmagomedov, who dominated the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), now begins a new journey in his career as the welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg).

With his MMA lesson, the Russian joined the select group of champions in two different weight classes in the UFC. Della Maddalena, on the other hand, lost the fight and, consequently, the welterweight title and her undefeated record in the company.

Throughout the five rounds, Makhachev displayed composure and all his skill in every aspect of MMA. A grappling specialist, the Russian delivered takedowns to Della Maddalena, who was unable to defend himself.
