It's no secret that the 2026 season should mark Amanda Nunes ' return to action. However, the Brazilian, who retired in 2023, may return to fighting in the UFC much sooner than expected. At least that's what Ariel Helwani, one of the leading journalists specializing in MMA coverage, suggests.

Previously, speculation suggested that the 'Lioness', a member of the company's Hall of Fame, could have the highly anticipated superfight against Kayla Harrison , the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), at UFC Casa Branca , a show expected to take place in June or July. Therefore, Amanda becomes an important asset for Dana White, since the clash between her and Kayla has always been anticipated. In fact, the duel is already one of the most important in the history of women's MMA.
