The UFC missed another opportunity to strengthen its roster with another star from the PFL. Last Wednesday (3), the 'Professional Fighters League' announced the contract renewal with Johnny Eblen through their social media networks.

Since his time in Bellator, the American has been considered one of the best MMA fighters outside of the UFC. In the now-defunct company, the representative of 'American Top Team' became the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) undefeated, and he remained a prominent figure in the PFL.

This wasn't the first time the PFL managed to 'hold on' to one of its talents, frustrating fans who hope they'll migrate to the UFC. Before Eblen, the organization extended its contract with Dakota Ditcheva and... Vadim nemkov.

Painful defeat

In his last fight, held in July, Eblen was surprised and ended up being submitted by Costello van Steenis with seven seconds remaining, even though he was on top. As a result, the American lost the fight, the PFL middleweight title, and his undefeated MMA record. Despite the negative outcome, the organization didn't hesitate to renew the wrestler's contract, recognizing his value.
