In full preparation to headline another event in Australia, this time in a rematch with Diego lopes, Alexander Volkanovsky He doesn't seem to intend to hang up his gloves. At least, not in the near future. The current featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) rejected rumors that the fight in UFC 325 This will be the last of his illustrious career, and he also expressed his desire to beat the Brazilian in a better performance than last time.

According to the Australian, his main goal is to beat Lopes without taking too many risks or suffering damage. In their first fight, despite winning by unanimous decision, he ended up being knocked down by a punch from the Brazilian at the end of the second round.
“I’m seeing it everywhere too (retirement). I don’t know where it’s coming from. No, it wasn’t planned to be my last fight, so you don’t need to worry about that. I think we’ll see how things go from here, but there are definitely no plans for that. My plan is to go in there and, like I said, not take too much damage, go in there and leave my mark, be really impressive in there and maybe get a quick recovery. And then we’ll see what happens.”

Volk also mentioned other potential title challengers. Despite Diego lopes having been prioritized by the Ultimate in the selection for the UFC 325The champion also highlighted other important names within the division as potential future opponents.
"I think there are some other guys too, like Movsar (Evloev)," Lerone murphy"Undefeated and all that. So, for the legacy, they seem to be very good too. So, we'll see what happens. This fight, doing this one in Sydney, putting on a show. We'll see what happens, but there are definitely no plans for that (retirement)," he concluded.
