Khamzat Chimaev has raised the bar with his taunts against Alex Poatan . Amidst flirting with a possible move up a weight class, the newly crowned middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) has been striving to grab the Brazilian's attention and secure a super fight in the UFC. This time, 'The Wolf' resorted to an AI-generated cartoon.
In a post on 'X', Chimaev shared an image in which he appears chasing Poatan with a sign that reads 'Wrestling fight?', while the Brazilian runs, scared, on a treadmill thinking 'It's a terrible matchup of styles!' and holding a shield that says "Just kickboxing".
In the caption, the Chechen also added laughing emojis to reinforce the provocation.

Alex Poatan participated in a Q&A session for UFC Rio, held in October, and, despite the rivalry, made it clear that he has no interest in facing Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC octagon.
"It's not in my plans. That's not my focus. I respect the fighters, whoever wants to face me, but unfortunately, not now," said the UFC champion.
Mateusz Gamrot also used AI to taunt Charles Oliveira before UFC Rio.

Although the cartoon highlights Khamzat Chimaev 's creativity , the tactic is nothing new in the world of MMA. Recently, Mateusz Gamrot decided to provoke Charles Oliveira into accepting a fight at UFC Rio.
Also published on 'X', the Polish artist Gamrot published a drawing where Charles do Bronx appears worried about finding a new opponent, while he is shown accepting the challenge and offering a chicken to the former champion.
"The Lion holds the record for most ground submissions in UFC history; he's afraid to face a ground fighter," Gamrot wrote in the caption.

It's worth remembering that on that occasion, Charles Oliveira accepted to fight Mateusz Gamrot and defeated the Polish fighter by submission in the second round.
