The police officer who killed Leandro Lô has broken his silence. Henrique Velozo, the military police officer who fired the shot that killed the eight-time world jiu-jitsu champion, spoke about the night of the crime in a recent interview with 'portal LeoDias'. Henrique was acquitted by a jury on November 14, 2025..

In an exclusive interview with 'LeoDias' website, military police officer Henrique Velozo gave his version of the story, revealing information about the minutes leading up to it. the death of eight-time world jiu-jitsu champion Leandro LôIn August 2022, the police officer made it clear that he acted in self-defense and explained how he managed to be acquitted of homicide.

Leandro became known as one of the world's greatest grappling experts. The São Paulo native was a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and an eight-time world champion in the discipline (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022).

The death of Leandro, 33 years old at the time, on August 7, 2022, had international repercussions, being reported in outlets such as ABC, BBC, and Al Jazeera.
