Tom Aspinall is definitely not a fan of Ciryl Gane . The current UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) did not react well to a statement by the Frenchman and used harsh words to criticize his former opponent in a comment on Instagram last Tuesday (16).

The confusion began after Gane publicly complained about the delay in scheduling a rematch with the Englishman.
"Still no date or opponent... But we continue to grind and train hard before the holidays," said the fighter, in a photo published showing him sparring with Tai Tuivasa.

Clearly annoyed by his rival's statement and living up to his promise to become a "villain," the Briton quickly responded to the post with a series of criticisms of the fighter.
“Don’t tell me there’s no date yet. I don’t have medical clearance to fight and I’m about to have surgery thanks to your disgusting nails. I’ll be back soon to smash your face, you cheater,” the champion declared.
The duel between the two took place in October of this year, as the main event of UFC 321. In the final moments of the first round, Gane committed a foul by unintentionally poking Aspinall in the eyes.
The Englishman was unable to return to the fight, and therefore the bout ended in a no contest, further hindering the progress of the division, already hampered by Jon Jones ' retirement.
