One of the most successful groups in the history of the sport, the Dagestan Clan has revolutionized MMA and served as an inspiration to many athletes, even veterans. Robert whittaker, who reigned in the UFC middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) between 2017 and 2019, publicly acknowledged the merits of those involved and even spoke about possible benefits of working with the Russians.

After confessing that he would be interested in training at the facility if he were starting his MMA career, Whittaker explained why he admires the group and the achievements of names like Khabib Nurmagomedov e Islam makhachev.

“There is balance, and that’s what makes them exceptional. That’s what makes them special, because they have this focused and objective dedication to art. We have to recognize that,” the Australian stated.
