Considered the overwhelming favorite to win the grappling match, Tsarukyan promised to buy an apartment for the UFC's 'Pirate' in the Armenian capital if he surprises him in action. Therefore, the athlete, who already had the obligation to win because he is a grappling specialist, while the Russian is a striker, now goes into the fight with even more pressure.

"If Shara beats me tomorrow, I'll buy him an apartment here in Yerevan," said the UFC top fighter at the pre-event press conference to promote the grappling match.

A busy 2025

Arman Tsarukyan disappointed fans and angered Dana White by pulling out of the highly anticipated rematch against Islam makhachevIn January, the day before the event, he withdrew due to a back injury. From then on, the Armenian fell out of favor with the UFC, being constantly ignored and criticized by the organization.
