During his appearance on CBS's New Year's Eve broadcast, Chandler outlined a scenario for the fight, indicating that it could take place at the rumored UFC White House event next summer. The American fighter reiterated that his plan is to beat Conor McGregor.

The event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, the same date that Donald Trump, the US president, will turn 80 years old.
Initially, Dana White had said that UFC White House would take place on July 4th, Independence Day in the United States, however, Donald Trump updated the date in a speech at the Norfolk Naval Station on October 5th.
