Jon Jones is planning a fresh start in his relationship with Daniel Cormier . The protagonists of one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history, with two fights in the octagon, 'Bones' and 'DC' have been appointed as coaches for ALF Global, a scenario that the former champion sees as an opportunity to change the course of this troubled relationship.
In a statement to 'Sport24_ru', Jon Jones said he considers Cormier's presence on the project positive and acknowledged their difficult history. According to the American, working together during filming, which will take place in Thailand, could serve as a chance to repair the strained relationship and, who knows, even pave the way for the beginning of a friendship.

“I think it would be great to have Daniel Cormier be a part of this show. Obviously, he and I have a complicated history. I know he doesn't like me very much. We beat him twice, but I think him coming to Thailand and recording with me would be a great opportunity for us to try and fix this whole messed-up relationship. I don't have any problems with him. I think, if that's the case, him coming here would give us the chance to maybe start a friendship,” said Jon Jones.

Known as the 'Russian Ultimate Fighter', ALF Global is a reality show where aspiring MMA stars live and train together in pursuit of a professional contract.
In previous editions, the program has featured big names such as Khamzat Chimaev , Arman Tsarukyan , Petr Yan , Aljamain Sterling , Jorge Masvidal , Nate Diaz, and Jon Jones himself , who has previously served as a coach.
Now, Jones is confirmed to return to the reality show, this time with Cormier as his direct opponent, reigniting the rivalry after the two faced each other twice inside the UFC octagon.

Jon Jones prevailed against Daniel Cormier on two occasions, the first by unanimous decision and the second by high-kick knockout in the rematch. However, the result of the second fight was later overturned to a 'no contest' after Jon Jones tested positive for a banned substance.
