From all indications, the idea of Alex Poatán Moving up to the UFC heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) and seeking an unprecedented triple championship is increasingly close to becoming a reality. The current light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), the Brazilian has already made it clear that he wants to test himself in the Ultimate's most dangerous category and try to make history as the first fighter to win titles in three different divisions.
Initially, the possibility seemed like a distant dream, mainly due to the 27 kg difference between the category limits. However, the Pataxó athlete has been demonstrating, more and more, that he is capable of achieving this feat.

Alex Poatan at UFC 327?
Although Poatan has publicly ruled out possibility of fighting With the UFC White House event scheduled for June, the announcement has fueled rumors that his name could be the main attraction at UFC 327, scheduled for April 11 in Miami.
Despite the speculation, the Brazilian fighter still doesn't have a confirmed opponent for that date. Among fans, three scenarios are emerging as the most discussed: a super fight against Jon Jones in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg); a confrontation with Cyryl Gane competing for the interim title in the category, since there is no scheduled return of Tom aspinallor a title defense against Carlos Ulbergin the middleweight category.
