Marcos Parrumpa recalled one of the most memorable moments of his coaching career while answering a question box via his Instagram story. Parrumpa pointed to a confrontation between Alexandre pantoja e Brandon royval as the most emblematic example.

Asked about a fight where he was in the corner and ended up winning despite completely unfavorable conditions, the American Top Team (ATT) coach pointed to the first fight between 'The Cannibal' and Royval, at UFC Vegas 34. According to Parrumpa, the Brazilian entered that fight far from his best physical shape.

The former UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) was dealing with serious knee problems, was ill during his fight preparation and, according to his coach, performed at about 40% of his capacity. Even so, he managed to emerge victorious, something that left a lasting impression on those who closely followed the entire story.

In fact, he went straight from that fight to knee surgery.

But this fight will be etched in my memory as one of those that became easy, because Pantoja is a champion in every aspect, especially here (in the heart), you understand, brother?”, said Marcos Parrumpa via 'story' on his Instagram account.
