Decline! Former UFC champion plans to compete in a slap-fighting league after a string of defeats.

At 41 years old, Luke Rockhold has vowed to continue making his mark in combat sports.

Veteran of combat sports, Luke Rockhold suffered another tough defeat. Last Friday (10), in Florida (USA), the former UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) fought for RAF, a company focused on promoting wrestling fights, and was dominated by the controversial Colby covingtonBut despite this terrible run of form in his career, anyone who thought the American had lost his motivation to continue competing was mistaken.

At 41 years old, Rockhold guaranteed that he will continue to be present in combat sports, even after accumulating defeats in different modalities. The American left the UFC in a bad phase (three consecutive losses) and extended his poor record competing in the 'Craig Jones Invitational', bare-knuckle boxing, traditional boxing, and wrestling.

In their respective categories, Rockhold fared worse against Pat Downey, being brutally knocked out by... Mike Perry, Darren till And lastly, he was no match for 'Chaos'. Now, the veteran's next stop could be 'Power Slap', the face-slapping league led by Dana White.

“Competing, challenging myself, getting in shape, learning a new sport and getting paid without taking risks. I lost by a few points, but I had a lot of fun. I'm happy to see wrestling reaching the big stages. Power Slap, see you soon,” wrote the former UFC champion on his official Instagram account.

In the last years, Luke Rockhold He, who at his peak was one of the best MMA fighters, has only one victory in combat sports. In 2024, the former UFC champion debuted in Karate Combat and knocked out Joe Schilling.
