Kayla Harrison 's withdrawal from UFC 324 shook the combat sports world. Now, the event scheduled for January 24th in Las Vegas (USA) has suffered a major setback, and consequently, Amanda Nunes doesn't know what her next step will be. But, if it depends on Norma Dumont , the 'Lioness' will remain in the company's first show in 2026.

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS , the Minas Gerais native wasted no time and offered herself as a replacement for the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) against the MMA legend. And Norma's initiative is valid. Riding a six-fight winning streak, the athlete has reached third place in the category's ranking and dreams of a title fight.

Since the Kayla vs. Amanda fight was highly anticipated by fans and MMA professionals, the UFC is likely to reschedule it. In any case, 'The Immortal' has assured that she is prepared to take the American's place against the Brazilian fighter, even at a future event.

“It will depend on the type of injury and how long it will take to recover. If it's something that takes two months, I think the UFC will reschedule the fight. If it's a six-month break, I think they should continue. I don't know if they would continue immediately. I really don't know. I'm waiting for the UFC to decide, but whatever happens, I'm in,” said the fighter.

And it didn't stop there. With just a few days to go before UFC 324, Norma, when questioned about the weight cut, remained firm. The Brazilian, who has had problems making weight in the past, guaranteed that she will be fit and healthy to compete.

"Yes. I've already notified the UFC, actually," the fighter from Minas Gerais pointed out.

Norma Dumont , 35, is one of the best female MMA fighters in Brazil. The Minas Gerais native began her career in the sport in 2016 and debuted in the UFC in 2020. Currently, she is ranked third in the company's bantamweight division.

In this discipline, 'The Immortal' built a record of 13 wins and two losses. Her main victories were over Germaine de Randamie , Irene Aldana , Karol Rosa , and Ketlen Vieira.
