The cancellation of the highly anticipated fight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes exposed a weakness in UFC 324, scheduled for January 24th in Las Vegas (USA), and Alex Poatan may have decided to send an enigmatic message regarding the event. Renato Moicano recently published a video citing the Pataxó indigenous leader as the big name to "save" UFC 324 , and it didn't take long for the indigenous leader to suggest this possibility.
Analyzing the UFC 324 card last Wednesday (14), Moicano pointed to the striker as the company's star capable of saving Dana White in the first event with Paramount+, the organization's new partner, given that the second most important fight of the night was canceled. A few days later, this past Sunday (18), Poatan shared a story on his Instagram watching precisely the video of the Brazilian fighter.
The light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) didn't say a word, nor did he write anything. Still, known for leaving cryptic messages on his social media, Poatan fueled rumors about a possible appearance at UFC 324, filling the large gap left by the fight between Harrison and Nunes, which was for the women's bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg).

Alex Poatan at UFC 324?
According to Moicano's interpretation, the scenario suggests improvisation behind the scenes and a last-minute change of plans. He believes the UFC had a big fight lined up, but had to hold off on the announcement after issues involving Kayla Harrison.
It is in this context that Alex Poatan emerges as the key piece to "save" UFC 324. In a possible move up to heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), the Native American would not only accept a last-minute fight, but would make history again.
The bantamweight title fight between Kayla and Amanda was canceled due to an injury to the American . Check out the fight card for event number 324 below (subject to change).
