One of the best fighters outside the UFC, Gable Stevenson has had his third MMA fight confirmed. On February 19th, in Mexico, the Olympic wrestling champion and friend of Jon Jones will face Hugo Lezama for the 'Mexico Fight League'. The information was released by the company itself.
Despite being a newcomer to MMA, the promising Gable has been making waves and attracting the attention of fans and the UFC. In the sport, the American fought his first two fights in 2025 and won both, with brutal and quick knockouts. And the excellent start has an explanation. In addition to his exceptional wrestling skills, the athlete has been improving other areas of the game with the legendary 'Bones'. In fact, Jon states that his pupil has everything it takes to be dominant in the sport's biggest organization and make his mark.

On the other hand, Lezama will try to ride the hype surrounding Gable and "pull a fast one." The 37-year-old Mexican has had 14 fights in his career and is coming off a loss.

Gable Stevenson , 25, made history in wrestling, winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics (Japan) in 2020. Now, the American is competing in smaller events to gain experience in fighting and, mainly, to improve other areas of his game. Aware of the athlete's quality, Dana White, president of the UFC, has already revealed his interest.
Furthermore, if the wrestler confirms his status as the favorite, there's a possibility the UFC will offer him a contract. In fact, fans and experts suggest it's only a matter of time before Gable joins the world's largest MMA organization and makes history there.
