Jean Silva is ready to put his defeat to Diego Lopes in the past. The Brazilian enters the UFC 324, scheduled for next Saturday (24), against Arnold Allen , seeking redemption in a duel that opens the main card of the event. Aware of the spotlight that marks the beginning of the billion-dollar partnership between the Ultimate and Paramount, the fighter guarantees he has overcome recent traumas to return to winning in the octagon.
In an interview with UFC Brazil, Jean Silva admitted that the previous setback left emotional scars and generated insecurity, especially due to the high level of expectation surrounding his career. Even so, the Fighting Nerds representative stated that he is experiencing a new moment, revealing that, for the first time since the fight against Diego, he woke up without feeling fear before competing. Confident, the Brazilian highlighted that he feels mentally strengthened and ready to face Arnold Allen.

“Man, I’m really happy, but I confess I felt a lot of fear… Whether I wanted to or not, a tough defeat, with so much hype that we have and will continue to maintain, it was a tough defeat, it hurt, the fear came. And it’s funny that I’m here today because today I woke up and told my team that, since the fight with Diego, it was the first time I didn’t feel fear and let’s go break Arnold Allen ,” said Jean Silva.
Jean Silva believes he can challenge Diego Lopes for the UFC title.

During a live stream on his YouTube channel, Jean Silva explained that his anxiety for UFC 324 doesn't stem from the fight itself, but from the perception that the UFC sees him as a future champion. The Fighting Nerds representative imagines a scenario where he defeats Arnold Allen by knockout and that, certainly, his next fight will be for the title.
“I’m nervous, and it’s not even about my fight. It’s that the path is very clear: the UFC wants me to be champion. Because, man, I knocked out Arnold Allen … and tell me, what’s the next step? Especially if Diego wins the belt,” said Jean Silva.
