The debut of the new partnership between UFC and Paramount+ in Brazil did not go unnoticed, and not in a positive way. The first event broadcast exclusively on the platform, the UFC 324, held last Saturday (24), in Las Vegas (USA), ended up generating a wave of criticism from fans on social media, mainly due to the excessive number of ads throughout the broadcast.
In addition to the surprises inside the octagon, such as the cancellation of what was then the second most important fight of the night, valid for the women's bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) between Kayla harrison e Amanda nunes, due to an injury to the American playerThe event officially marked the beginning of the new phase of Ultimate's streaming. However, despite the exciting fights, the audience experience was compromised, according to reports from several subscribers.
One of the main points raised by fans was the large number of advertisements shown between rounds and during breaks between fights, which ended up directly interfering with the broadcast of moments considered important by the public.
"Terrible transmission of UFC 324 "It's on Paramount+. There's no point in constantly inserting ads for series and movies between rounds. Also, many times we wanted to hear the corner talking to the fighter during the break between rounds and we didn't hear anything. Another thing that was missing is that we don't have a button to see the order of the fights and which ones have already happened. This could be improved for future events!", wrote one user.

Other fans also complained about the loss of important footage, such as the athletes' entrances and the instructions given by the coaches between rounds.
UFC screwed up big time by selling out to Paramount.
There are so many announcements between the fights that there's not even time to show the fighters' entrance.
We're here PAYING to watch ads 🤡

The lack of greater participation from the commentary team and the feeling of a product "broken" by the number of commercial breaks were also mentioned.
"The UFC broadcast so far has been irritating... the blue screen of commercials keeps popping up, they miss the fighters' entrances, they miss the corner instructions between rounds, there's little participation from the commentary panel, and the product isn't being valued much. That's just my opinion," commented another user.

Some highlighted the length of the advertising breaks as one of the biggest problems of the night. "A surreal amount of ads on the UFC broadcast on Paramount+, like 3 minutes of continuous ads," wrote one fan.

Paramount+ has not yet officially commented on the criticism. It remains to be seen whether adjustments will be made for upcoming events, something that fans themselves have made clear they expect, now that the platform has become the official home of the UFC in Brazil.
