Held in Las Vegas (USA), the UFC 324 It was the organization's first event of the 2026 season and also the first to be broadcast exclusively by Paramount. This is because, right from its debut on its new home, the show exceeded expectations and broke the streaming service's audience record.
Last Monday (26), through an official statement sent to the press, the companies reported that the attraction had five million views on the 'Paramount +' streaming service, a peak of almost six million simultaneous streams and reached more than seven million households. Surreal deal
Paramount beat Netflix and other companies to acquire the broadcasting rights for UFC events for $7,7 billion (approximately R$40 billion at the current exchange rate). The deal is valid for the next seven years and, apparently, this record is likely to be broken soon.
Criticisms about the broadcast
However, despite the success of the metrics, the transmission of UFC 324 It did not please MMA fans and professionals. 'Paramount+' received numerous criticisms for the excessive number of commercials during the event. Furthermore, key moments such as the fighters' entrance into the octagon and the corner's instructions to the athletes during the rounds were often cut.
