Dana White, leader of the world's largest MMA organization, revealed that UFC Casa Branca will be entirely funded by the company. No public funds will be used to build the highly anticipated event. The UFC president provided more details on the amount needed to put on the show, comparing the costs to... Night UFC.

According to the 'Sports Business Journal' website, the president did not reveal the exact amount, but provided a benchmark by citing expenses on... Night UFC September 2024. The event cost around US$20 million, approximately R$104.2 million today. The event at the White House is expected to cost even more than that. Night UFC at the Sphere in Las Vegas (USA).

"It's going to be a historic fight, one on one, and just like I said about the Sphere, we're going to do the Sphere (referring to the...)" Night UFC (September 2024) will seem like pocket change. The Ellipse is going to be incredible, the structure there. We'll have a stage. We'll have some shows there. Everyone will be able to watch the fight on the big screens and, as we prepare for the event, we'll have press conferences, autograph sessions with the fighters and interactions with the fans. It's going to be like an International Fight Week in Las Vegas. That kind of thing is going to happen in Washington all week long,” said White.

When questioned about the reason for the event's high cost, Dana didn't care about the price, making it clear that he's more interested in putting on a mega-event, with all the trimmings, than in saving money and compromising the show's grandeur.

“The entire structure, the lighting system… I don’t want a traditional lighting system, I don’t want screens, I don’t want lights. The only thing I want to see is the White House in the background and the Washington Monument on the other side,” the president added.

Dana White is keeping his favorite athletes for this event a secret. The only name that Dana White didn't deny was that of Derrick LewisThe organization's own leader made this information public.

The event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, the same date that Donald Trump, the US president, will turn 80 years old. Initially, Dana White had said that UFC White House would take place on July 4th, Independence Day in the United States, however, Donald Trump updated the date in a speech at the Norfolk Naval Station on October 5th.

White also revealed in an interview that there will be around five thousand people on the South Lawn of the White House and approximately 80 fans at the Ellipse, a nearby park.
