Josh Hokit expressed dissatisfaction at not having the chance to face Valter Walker in his next UFC fight, but made it clear that he still aims for a top-tier challenge. Newly arrived in the organization, the American quickly gained notoriety by stealing the spotlight at UFC 324, winning the first Performance Bonus of the Paramount+ era, and establishing himself as a media figure among heavyweights. Now, the fighter is already planning to face a ranked opponent in the next round.

Through social media, Hokit indicated his interest in fighting on March 28th in Seattle, the same date Valter Walker is already scheduled for the event. Taking advantage of this, the athlete suggested turning the card into a "heavyweight party" and directly mentioned Mick Parkin and Shamil Gaziev as possible opponents, provoking them by stating that one of them could put his ranking position on the line.
