So much so that the featherweight champion (up to 65,8 kg) fulfilled a special request precisely from Diego lopes, your opponent in the main fight of the event, which takes place on Saturday (31).

It's worth highlighting that, despite being rivals again, the relationship between the athletes is good. Not surprisingly, the Brazilian asked 'The Great' to sing the song 'Fall for You' by the band Secondhand Serenade. Without hesitation, Volkanovski, just as he did to promote their first duel, sang along, amusing the fans and Diego himself. After the singing, the pair shook hands, and the Australian even asked his loyal followers to applaud the title challenger.

Volkanovski's victory

In their first fight, held in April, Diego and Volkanovski competed for the vacant title in the division. In the octagon, the Brazilian even startled 'The Great' at certain moments, but was ultimately controlled and lost by unanimous decision. Now, the athlete will face the Australian in hostile territory.
