With another victory on his resume after UFC 324, last Saturday (24), Jean Silva now turns his attention to event number 325, this January 31st, in Sydney, Australia. 'Lord' analyzed the main fight of the show between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes and also mentioned an important role that Mauricio Ruffy may have in this confrontation.
In an interview with 'The Ariel Helwani Show', Jean said he believes Ruffy can play a key role in a possible victory for Volkanovski over Lopes this Saturday (31). 'Lord' understands that the ability to read the opponent that his training partner, Fighting Nerds, has can fit well with the Australian's experience and result in the triumph of the current UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg).
“I want Diego (Lopes) to win, even if it means risking a trilogy. But, based on his game and experience, Volkanovski is tough. We're not talking about just any guy. So, I believe it will be a difficult fight. They've faced each other before, and whether you like it or not, Volkanovski has the help of some very good people there, like Luffy, who's very good at reading his opponent. That's why I believe Volkanovski will win this fight,” said Jean Silva in an interview with Ariel Helwani.
Jean Silva believes Mauricio Ruffy could play a major role in Volkanovski beating Lopes at UFC 325:
"For me, it's going to be better that I can have a rematch [with Diego Lopes] but it's gonna be tough. Volk is a legend, it's very tough to fight against him. He's got Ruffy now… pic.twitter.com/OeUYvmtz5Q
