Renato Moicano received bad news that directly impacted his return to the octagon. The Brazilian was scheduled to face Brian Ortega at UFC 326, an event scheduled to take place on March 7th in Las Vegas (USA), but the fight was cancelled. The American was unable to compete and withdrew from the event. The information was revealed by journalist Léo Guimarães.

At the moment, the reason that led Ortega to withdraw from the fight is unknown. In any case, it seems that Moicano should remain on the card and the UFC is already working behind the scenes to find a replacement. The duel between the athletes would be a rematch and would mark 'T-City's' definitive move up to lightweight (up to 70,3 kg).
