Khamzat Shimaev continued his pursuit of Alex Poatán In the UFC. If before becoming middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) the Russian already treated the company's star as a rival, after winning the title in August in Chicago (USA), he didn't leave him alone anymore. Not satisfied, 'Borz' made a point of reminding everyone of Alex and Glover's tough knockout losses to Israel adesanya and finally for Jiri Prochazka, respectively, which marked the loss of the middleweight and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) belts for both. To conclude, Khamzat explained that he became vocal against the pair because he felt disrespected. Therefore, the tendency is that the 'trash talk' will not stop there.

“Borz has 15 wins. Chama has 13 and three losses. That’s the only difference between us (laughs). If you show respect, I’ll return the respect. Team Chama talks too much. That’s why there’s no more respect,” wrote the UFC champion.

Khamzat ShimaevBorz, 31, is one of the best and most fearsome MMA fighters today. The Russian began his career in the sport in 2018, debuted in the UFC in 2020, and became middleweight champion in 2025. Before that, 'Borz' also excelled in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).

In this modality, the athlete competed in 15 fights and won them all, 12 by stoppage (six by knockout and six by submission). His main victories were against Dricus du Plessis, Gilbert Durinho, Kamaru Usman e Robert whittaker.
