Quillan Salkilld showed that he is a complete fighter in the octagon at UFC 325, held this Saturday (31). The Australian prospect faced Jamie Mullarkey in the opening fight of the main card and surprised by adopting a strategy focused on grappling, securing the victory by submission in the first round.
Salkilld had already drawn attention in his previous Ultimate fight, when he knocked out Nasrat Haqparast with a beautiful high kick. This time, however, he defied expectations. Instead of focusing on striking, he took Mullarkey down in the first few seconds of the fight and, still in the middle of the first round, locked in a rear-naked choke to end the duel.
With the victory, Quillan Salkilld reached 11 career wins, his fourth in the UFC. Jamie Mullarkey , on the other hand, suffered his ninth professional defeat.

Tafa is intimidating in the striking exchanges, but ends up being submitted by Elekana.
Junior Tafa showed that, even with the change in weight class (from heavyweight to light heavyweight), his main weaknesses remain evident. The Australian faced Billy Elekana in the fight that closed the preliminary card of UFC 325 and even managed to pose a threat in the striking exchanges, but couldn't withstand his opponent's ground game.
In the second round of the fight, Elekana took the fight to the ground and locked in a rear-naked choke, forcing Tafa to tap out and confirming the submission. With the loss, the fighter now has six wins and five losses in his career. The winner of the duel achieved his tenth professional victory, his third consecutive win in the UFC.
