Tallison Teixeira He had to work tirelessly in the octagon to recover from the defeat suffered against Derrick Lewis. On UFC 325, the Brazilian surprised Tai tuivasa He fought via grappling, but almost came off worse in the striking exchanges. Despite the scares, 'Xicão' convinced the judges that he was superior to the Australian during the three rounds and won by points.
The rounds weren't pretty. In the first, Tallison took advantage of takedowns and punished the veteran with ground and pound. In the second round, the Brazilian's strategy was the same, but he struggled to impose his game and saw Tuivasa grow stronger. In the third and final round, the exhausted giant became easy prey for the Australian, but, through sheer grit, he survived. Thus, 'Xicão' achieved the most important victory of his career.
