Alexander Volkanovsky confirmed his superiority in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg) by defeating Diego lopes by unanimous decision of the judges (49-46, 49-46, 50-45) in UFC 325, held last Saturday (31), in Sydney, Australia. With the victory, The Australian retained the category's belt., once again demonstrated why he is considered one of the biggest names in the division and took the opportunity to assess the outcome of the fight.

Asked in the post-fight press conference about the Brazilian's performance, who represents Mexico in the UFC, and the difficulty of the fight, the champion analyzed Lopes and highlighted his own qualities inside the octagon.

Yes, he (Diego lopesHe has a very well-developed game, he knows all the aspects, but he will improve by putting everything into practice… It’s a difficult situation for him to have to fight me for both titles. I don’t mean that negatively, but I mean that I know how to work in the octagon, the footwork, I can execute all those things and take advantage of that against him.

Many other fighters wouldn't be able to do this for 25 minutes; they wouldn't be able to make the adjustments I can make. It's complicated because if he had to fight ten rounds against someone, he wouldn't do what I can do,” he said. Alexander Volkanovsky at the post-college press conferenceUFC 325.
