After Jean Silva unfollowed Mauricio Ruffy on Instagram, fans began to speculate about a rift between the teammates. The situation gained strength because the technical striker was part of Alexander Volkanovski's camp for UFC 325 , an event held last Saturday (31), something that would not have pleased 'Bad Boy', who has already expressed interest in facing the featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg).

When questioned about the matter, Ruffy tried to downplay any rumors of a disagreement. During an appearance on the 'Laerte Viana na Área – MMA' channel, the fighter stated that he was fully focused on his preparation for the fight against Rafael Fiziev and said he didn't know the reason for Jean's behavior on social media. According to the athlete, his respect and affection for his training partner remain unchanged.

“I was 100% focused on my fight (against Rafael Fiziev ). It was the first time I took my eyes off those things, but many fans sent me messages asking: 'Hey, Jean stopped following you, what happened?'. I don't know what happened. I didn't unfollow him. I only have affection and respect for him,” said Maurício Ruffy to the channel 'Laerte Viana na Área – MMA'.
