Amid a losing streak in the octagon, Tai Tuivasa reveals plans to train wrestling with 'The Wolf' to correct the main weakness in his game.

Tai tuivasa wants to join Khamzat Shimaev to attempt a comeback never before seen in the history of MMA. The heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) was defeated by Tallison Teixeira No. UFC 325, held last Saturday (31), and reached his sixth consecutive defeat in the Ultimate. Despite the negative phase, the Australian made it clear that he intends to turn the page and evolve precisely in his biggest weakness: grappling.

Following the setback, Tuivasa made a heartfelt statement on social media, highlighting the emotional impact of the moment on his career. The Australian stressed that, despite the frustration, he remains motivated to return to training, acknowledged that there is still much to improve, and made a point of thanking the support he received, especially from fans in Australia. The heavyweight also mentioned the importance of family, citing his son and partner as pillars for continuing to move forward, even amidst difficulties.

“This hurts the soul more than any punch. I tried. I had a great camp and I’m already looking forward to training again… There’s still a lot of work to do. I thank my supporters with so much love, especially the Australian fans. Sorry for letting me down again. The fighter stated that he plans to train wrestling with Khamzat Shimaev, seeking to learn from the Chechen wolf and improve his takedown game and ground control, an area that has been decisive in his recent defeats in the octagon.

"Khamzat Chimaev "I'm going to train wrestling with you, brother. Teach me, because I'm tired of this bullshit of just hugging," the heavyweight concluded.
