End of the feud? Poatan downplays controversy with Lokdog and proposes a settlement: 'It will change his thinking'

UFC star Alex Poatan hinted that the incident with Vinícius Lokdog was more of a misunderstanding than a personal feud.

It didn't take long for Alex Poatán to speak out about the disagreement with Vinícius Lokdog. All because the badbiy, who is fighting at UFC Vegas 113, an event that takes place this Saturday (7), against mario bautistaHe brought up the subject again. Aware of what's happening with everything involving his name, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) showed himself willing to put an end to the matter once and for all.

In a post on the Instagram page 'Laerte Viana na Área', Poatan made a comment, making it clear that, as far as he's concerned, there's no problem whatsoever with Lokdog. It's worth noting that the man from Rio Grande do Sul even said that, despite respecting him, they just didn't get along.

In any case, the veteran didn't create controversy, much less object to meeting the athlete in person to resolve their differences. Not satisfied, Poatan even supported Lokdog in winning his next fight, the most important of his career. Therefore, the renowned striker implied that what happened was more of a misunderstanding than a personal feud.

“I just wanted to say that he tried to take away the negative image he has and share it with me. What does what he does have to do with me? I have nothing against him and I'm rooting for him in his next fight. And, if we ever meet, we'll sit at the same table. If he feels good about that, he'll change his mind about saying that we don't get along,” wrote the UFC champion.

Understand the controversy

It all started when Lokdog, after posting videos of his training sessions where he went all out against his partners, was criticized by fans. In his defense, the bad boy pointed out that Poatan also doesn't hold back in sparring, reminding everyone that Poatan had knocked out a colleague, but because of who he is, he was praised and even challenged him. In response, the UFC champion expressed his displeasure with his compatriot.

The renowned striker stated that, unlike Lokdog, he is not seen as malicious because of his conduct, while the latter is constantly involved in controversial episodes. Poatan also questioned the story told by the man from Rio Grande do Sul, in which he walked 34 km every day to go to the gym to train. The athlete countered, reminding the man from São Paulo of his past working in a tire shop.
