One of the fights at ACA 200 had a frightening outcome this Friday (6). In a duel valid for the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg), the Russian Said Khatiev suffered a serious injury to his right ankle in the second round of the confrontation with his compatriot Kurban Taygibov, held in Moscow. The moment resonated in the MMA world and quickly went viral on social media. Due to the injury, the fight was interrupted and Taygibov was declared the winner by technical knockout.

Despite the injury being to his ankle, the exchange of blows that ended the fight began standing. Kurban landed a powerful punch. overhand Khatiev landed a right hand over his opponent's guard, taking him to the ground. At that moment, the athlete's ankle received the impact of the falling body due to the angle created by the... knockdown.

He managed to survive the barrage of punches thrown by his compatriot afterward, even managing to get back to his feet. However, the severity of the injury became evident when the athlete tried to put weight on his right foot. The referee stopped the fight when the clock showed 4 minutes and 30 seconds of the intermediate round. At the time of this publication, the event had not released more detailed information about the fighter's health status.

This was Kathiev's second consecutive defeat, bringing his total to three fights in the organization to a winless streak since June of last year. At 29 years old and a professional since 2016, he has a record of 14 wins and five losses, with ten of those victories coming by stoppage.
