Pressured by the tough defeat suffered in October, Jailton Malhadinho suffered another setback at UFC Vegas 113. At the event held this Saturday (7), the Brazilian was no match for Rizvan Kuniev and moved further away from the top-5 of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). After 15 minutes of a rather unexciting fight, the Bahia native lost by unanimous decision. To make matters worse, the athletes were booed during the duel.
With two consecutive losses, Malhadinho is experiencing the worst moment of his career and is being questioned by fans and MMA professionals. As a consequence of the new setback, the athlete is likely to lose his sixth place in the category ranking to his Russian nemesis, who is not part of the top 15.
Jailton Malhadinho , 34, is part of the UFC's heavyweight elite. The Brazilian began his MMA career in 2012 and debuted in its biggest organization in 2022. In his career, the Bahia native has built a record of 22 wins, 21 by stoppage (13 by submission and 8 by knockout), and five losses. His main victories were over Derrick Lewis , Jairzinho Rozenstruik , and Serghei Spivac.

Polish Nerd wins war
It was tough, but Michal Oleksiejczuk continued his good run of form against Marc-André Barriault . The Polish fighter, who is part of the Fighting Nerds academy, struggled in the octagon, but ultimately won by unanimous decision, securing his third consecutive victory. With this record, the athlete is closer to entering the top 15 of the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg).
In the first round, Oleksiejczuk landed powerful punches on Barriault, rocking him and coming close to a knockout. Confident and seeing the Canadian on the defensive, the Pole continued to press. In the second round, the tenacious Barriault fought back and rocked Oleksiejczuk with a flurry of blows. Bleeding, the Pole retaliated, but it had no effect on the Canadian.
In the third and final round, Barriault continued to advance and startled Oleksiejczuk with a straight punch. The Pole then tried to surprise him with takedowns, but the Canadian defended. Towards the end of the fight, Oleksiejczuk relied on a high volume of strikes to trouble Barriault, who struggled to attack. At the end of the 15-minute fight, the Pole emerged victorious, having dominated two of the three rounds.
