Usman Nurmagomedov showed that he inherited not only Khabib's surname, but also the characteristic confidence of the family. The young Dagestani fighter entered the fray last Saturday (7), at a PFL event, and finished Alfie Davis with authority. Even without yet having faced the UFC elite, the fighter confidently projected possible duels against big names in the organization, such as Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan.
In a post-fight press conference, Usman emphasized that even with different preparation for opponents of this caliber, the outcome wouldn't change. The Dagestani fighter also made a point of highlighting his undefeated record, differentiating himself from Tsarukyan, who has already experienced defeat in his career.

“The preparation would have been completely different, but the result would have been the same. Unlike Arman, I have no defeats,” said Usman Nurmagomedov.
Khabib compares Usman Nurmagomedov to Topuria and Tsarukyan
If Usman Nurmagomedov is confident in his potential against the high level of the UFC, Khabib has no doubts. In a statement to MMA Team Gorilla Fighting, the leader of the Dagestani clan highlighted the prospect's accelerated evolution over the past year.
According to Khabib, Usman has grown significantly under his direct supervision and is now at the same technical level as athletes like Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan , something that, in his assessment, was not possible to affirm a year ago.
“In one year, Usman has evolved a lot. I train with him, I work with him personally. And, looking from the outside, he is at least at the same level as them ( Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan ). A year ago I would have said we still needed to wait, but now he is already at that level. Time will tell,” said Khabib Nurmagomedov.
