Max Holloway does not intend to take risks in case the fight against Charles of the Bronx Go to the ground. The Hawaiian faces the Brazilian in the main event of UFC 326, scheduled for March 7th, and, despite fans and experts pointing to an advantage only in stand-up fighting, the BMF champion is also preparing to surprise in grappling.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Holloway is shown intensely working on his grappling during a sparring session. In the footage, the fighter starts on his back on the ground, playing guard, before attempting a triangle choke submission. Unable to get his training partner to tap out, the Hawaiian surprises everyone by securing a sweep.

Also in the video, Holloway acknowledged that the strategy of taking the fight to the ground might not please his coaching staff. Even so, he highlighted the symbolism of trying to finish the fight. Charles of the Bronx, an athlete widely known for his excellence in ground game, classifying this approach as the most 'BMF' attitude possible for the duel.
"My coaches are going to kill me when they see this. But the most BMF thing to do in this fight is to submit the submission specialist (Charles of the Bronx)", he said Max Holloway.
